This morning, I got an email from Fliphost regarding the power outage which is affecting my Dallas Storage server 2 days ago. Did it took a long time to make a notification email like this?

On April 27th at 9:26 AM there was a brief power outage for some of our customers in Dallas. This did not affect everyone.
During regularly scheduled maintenance on one of the UPS a voltage drop occurred. Because of the occuring maintenance the ATS switched back to utility power causing a brief outage (2 seconds) of power.
The 2 seconds that servers lost power was enough time for them to shutdown. Power was immediately restored after those two seconds and servers started booting up afterwords. The data center as brought an additional generator on site to remain there until further testing is completed.
We want to reiterate that this did not affect all Dallas clients and this the first instance of such an event happening in our time at this data center.
